I'm it!!

I was tagged by my sister in law, Julie on her blog. The rules are posted below.

RULES:
1.The player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves - try to find 6 you haven't already posted about!
2. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, and then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for the rules
Now to think about something about myself that people don't know or that I haven't already said.
1. When I have on my pajama sweat pants and it is cold, I put my feet inside the pantlegs and use them as slippers, to keep my feet warm.
2.I like to eat raisin bran cereal, but I like to wait until the milk has made it a little soggy (not too soggy) before I eat it.
3.Alex can run almost as fast as I can, and if I give him a little headstart, and book it as fast as I can he still beats me.
4.I use to think that sleep was such an overated thing, and I hated to have to go to sleep instead of doing things. However, after having 3 kids who were terrible sleepers as babies, I like sleep now and sometimes even take naps at the same time they are.
5.In public I don't talk very much and Mark does, but at home I carry on most of the conversation between Mark and I. Mark is really not a big talker. So if you ever talk on the phone with him and he seems to cut you off don't be offended he doesn't really like to talk much. My father in law was once surprised when we went on an overnight driving trip with them, how much I was able to talk with Mark, as I was trying to keep him awake.
6.Mark and I play a game at night with the news. We guess the temperature for the day and see who was the closest.
I won't tag anyone because you have all done it already.

HALLOWEEN IS FUN!

Alex insisted that he wanted to be a bee for Halloween. Here is the back of his costume. We had a little problem with the material. It kept ripping, but we were able to get it to work for the day! He may even get to wear it for play for a little bit.

Here is what the front looked like.

Here is Brigham. He is Super Why. He loves super heros and thus the choice. This one loves to read.
Then Elisabeth changed what she wanted to be a gazillion times, but when we were making the costumes she said she wanted to be Ariel. This is what it looked like.

We had a good time trick or treating. We actually went to this place where a bunch of businesses got together to trick or treat and then went to some of the neighbors. It was fun. The kids loved it.

Happy 5th Birthday

Alex's birthday was a fun day for him. Here is his cake. We did a yellow firetruck since we ran out of red food coloring.

This is Alex blowing out the candles as we sing. We did practical gifts this year and got him a winter coat. Then there is a quilt made from some material we had. Alex really liked the orange material. He was such a great sport about getting these and really likes them.

Thanks for the calls and gifts to remember this day. Alex was happy.

Evanstone BBD

Well last weekend we got together with some of Mark's high school friends at Diamond X ranch in Evanston or as my kids say, Evanstone, in Wyoming (for those of you not familiar with the area). Please note that they have been getting together like this since 1996 for the BBD (minus the time they were on their missions). It was a blast, though we did miss those who weren't able to make it. We had lots of fun riding horses, playing hide and seek, tag, climbing, eating and the great company. Mark's friends are a great group of guys.

Here are some of the kids waiting for the horses, the high light for all the kids, I think. Some of them we had to pull off so others could take a turn. Mark riding with Alex and Jared with Michael.

Dave and Julie and Mykenzie and then Liberty helping Alex. Then there's Phylene and Bridger. Now we had to do 2 posts because there wasn't enough room to post all the pictures so scroll down just a bit further if you want to see some more of the pictures.

BBD 2007 Diamond X Ranch

Jared and Michael taking their turn riding the horse

Here's Brinton, then Caitlyn getting on after a little scare. In the next phoo you can see that Liberty is walking the horse around to make sure he's calm.

Mark doing the 8 sec can bull. I think it only lasted 2-3 secs. Then Brent, "Hee Haw."

Then Johanna, "Wait up Brent!" Then the group that was there minus Liberty who took most of the pictures

Alex Brigham and Elisabeths turn on the horses. A little hay jumping and cattail fun., and a little chilling.

That was a fun trip. Thanks Liberty and Dave for letting us hang out at your place!

Oh wait a minute, its fall...that's what I thought.

Here we go raking the leaves. Brigham and Lissie just started doing this themselves. Then a little help from DAD.

Now time to jump! Wahoo! I don't want to jump. I'd rather poor. This is all Brigham would do.

Then Lissie jumping in. Brigham in the background being very diligent. They want to jump some more but now it has been raining for the last 2 days. What fun for fall.

Snow Storm

Saturday morning this is what we woke up to. Mark went and played ultimate frisbee with some friends and the kids wanted to play in the snow. This is the 2nd Saturday in a row that it has snowed here. This time it actually stuck. So we played. Alex made a couple snow angels.
Brigham standing there and getting cold.
Lissie eating the snow. Yum!
Then we made a snowman. It was lots of fun. Then our power went out and we had to get out our wind up radios. Lots of branches broke off our trees, but compared to most of the people around time, we were lucky. The snow stayed until Monday afternoon. Just long enough to play one more time on Monday.
