Congratulations to Betsy and Tanner. We are excited for you guys. We're looking forward to having Tanner be a part of our family! Such a nice guy. We'll see you at the temple in about 6 months for this same kind of event. You guys look so happy:)

Nikki, this is for you, and hopefully you can tell my haircut a little better. It is layered all around. ITs been fun to have my hair this short. I might even keep it this short for a while.

Happy 8 Years!

I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to you Mark! This year was a little hectic for celebrating for us, but he did get me that beautiful bouquet on the right and some candies that are almost as good as my mom's. The flowers on the left, is the boquet from our wedding and the picture above is the wedding present I gave Mark. We were going to go out to eat when we were down, but his great uncle died, so we had a little meal together that he made when we got home and the kids were in bed.

Anyways, It has been a great 8 years. Mark is a great and amazing husband, friend and father and man. But I'll leave it at that because he doesn't like all the attention.

Additions to our extended families

Congratulations Jamie and Michelle- Dec 20th, 2008 We are excited to have you in our family Michelle. We drove to Sacramento to enjoy in the festivities. We went with Betsy and Tanner, Cris and Renee. Tanner's parents were nice and let us use their four wheel drive Tahoe! (Thanks). It was good because our van wouldn't have done as well in the snow! It was a great wedding and the temple was beautiful.

Thanks also to my In-laws for watching Alex, Brigs and Lissie so that we could go to the wedding. They had fun. That was really kind of you.

Also we have another welcome to our family, as well on Saturday Dec 20, 2008. Welcome Ryan David. Born at 10:23am 7lb3oz and 18 1/2 inches. (Congrats David and Amanda) We had to get a picture of Taylor with his other boy cousins (he had 3 that are around his age).

We were amazed at how small his head was so Mark got a picture of his watch next to his head. (Our kids heads are about 2x the size).

And here I am holding him. How fun to have a little baby. He is a cute little guy and looks like a little boy. Congrats Dave, Amanda, Katelyn, Emily, and Sarah.


(also, those who are interested... Thanks to my sisters and mom, I got my hair cut and highlighted. They wanted to have it done before I went to the wedding, as I was going to do it after Christmas. Thanks again, I love it, and that was really kind of you. It was my Christmas present from them.)

The thankfulness and preparing....

The Monday before Thanksgiving we made some turkeys for FHE treat.

We went to my sister's house for Thanksgiving. It was really fun and the cousins had a blast playing. (Thanks nik) Jayden asked Lissie to dance, so here they are.

It was the first time all 3 cousins were together. THey were all born within a month of each other. Payton talked up a storm.

This year we are going to go to my bro's wedding and then just spend Christmas with my inlaws, so we won't be hanging around. We decided not to get a tree. BUT we wanted to do a little something for a tree, so the kids and I surprised Mark while he was at YMs.

I love these guys....

Saturday night I decided to do something I've never done with Lissies hair. In the old day to curl their hair they would use rags and tie them. Since we don't have a small curling iron or curlers we decided to give it a try. I told her she would look like a princess and she sat for about 30 minutes while I did this to her hair. This is quite a challenge for Lissie to sit still for that long, but she did it (maybe cause I told her she'd look like a princess).

This si the final result. This is how it Looked after church. I thought the curls were a bit too tight, but Mark kept saying he thought it was really neat.

Here are the boys. I had to take picture of all three boys in their matching shirts before Taylor grew out of them. They looked so handsome and matching.

Also, tonight we had the missionaries over. You have to have the meal ready when they get here. (about 5:15). I'm lucky if I have the meal ready by 5:30. Anyways about 3:30 I started on the meal. Mark and I had planned what we were going to make. We are also a little short on main ingredients because it is the end of the week. We usually do shopping friday or saturday. As I started making supper I noticed we ran out of corn starch. Okay, I'll us flour. I don't have enough sugar, maybe I'll just half the recipe. I need to make bread, oops not enough flour because I already made a pie crust. So at about 3:45 I load up all the kids in the car and head off to the store. I emphasized how much of a hurry we were in and the kids needed to be good and stay in the cart. They were amazing. We got home by 4:15 .I asked them to help me when we got home as well. THey did just that. I had the laundry that had been folded, but not put away. So I had them help me hide it on my bed. I made the bread, and the potato soup (we didn't have enough potatoes either, had to get those) and Alex grated cheese, Brigham cut up the banana and set the table and they helped take care of Taylor (as did Lissie) and so forth. Alex stirred the pie filling on the stove, perfectly. We got the banana cream pie, bread and potato soup done by about 5:20 and Mark showed up with the missionaries about 5-7 mins later. Just enough time to hide a few odds and ends and feed Taylor. It was great. We were blessed, and had a good time having the missionaries for supper.

Happy Birthday Mother!

Yesterday was my mother's birthday. We celebrated in true LaPierre fashion (at least my parents) with a pie. THis one was pumpkin. We then put in 3 candles for each of the kids to blow out. We hope that it was a great day for you, and wish we could've shared this pie with you! We love you (note Lissie's eyes are blue and half her face because the boys thought it would be fun to put makeup on her yesterday and they did the whole face! It was rather interesting)

I had to post this pic, too. I went in to check on Taylor before I hopped into bed and this is what I found. Taylor holding his bears hand. How cute, I thought.

Witch's on Broomsticks.....

We had a wonderful Halloween. Nothing too exciting about it, but the norm. Here is Taylor as a pea pod. We had him in thes for the evening.

Lissie is a withc. She chose out all the material, so this is what she liked. Pink, surprised? The boys are bats. The had bat hats and wings and then dressed in dark clothes. They put on seaters, I guess they matched the top. They wanted their faces black. What would halloween be without makeup:?

Here is what Taylor wore during the day. It was like one nice sleeper. We added a little makeup to get this cute pic.
