The Face Says It All

Brigham decided his hair was too long so he cut a section of the top all the way to the scalp, and also on one of the sides. The result was a complete shave.

Sweeneys and the 4th

We were lucky to have a nice visit from Jen, Brian, Conor and Megan, a week ago. It was really fun. They slept over at our place. Unfortunately, I didn't pull my camera out to document too much but here is one picture of the kids. This is right before bed in the boys room. We also had the Hiltons over and had a blast just talking while the kids played. Fun Fun.
This is from the 4th of July. We did lots of different things but they are scattered. We went to Jackson Hole with my brother to visit Mark's brother who is a river guide right now! This is climbing up to see the view of the TETONS, gorgeous, but I was a little nervous with the kids on this. I had them stay with one adult on the way down.
We went to one of the rivers (I know this isn't the Snake, but I don't know the name). This is Brigham wading.
THey had a rope swing that the big boys did. This is Mark.
Mike got sick about halfway through the day. When we got to the view for the Tetons, he had to rest, while the rest of us took a hike.
THis is from the viewpoint to see the Tetons. THey are in the background for those of you who don't know. You can tell I'm being paranoid! (I inherited it from my mother)
Brigham with his buddy down the trail. (He only wanted to go halfway with mom and when Mike was better again, he ran to the first available hand).

This is Lizzie with Dad down from the view.
THis is at the fireworks. Alex was dancing to the music. THis had the best finally I have EVER seen. It was continuous fireworks for 10minutes. These were lit off the slopes for the skiing. They had fireman on the hill watching for fires and they put out at least 5 fires on the hill!
Here is Lizzie with Uncle Cris on the river. She was scaringly daring.
These are the kids with the brothers! fun.
Alex at the river.

We had fun. We also saw a shootout downtown which was kind of interesting. They started singing. We went to eat and I left my purse at the place we ate. Thank goodness it was still there and people were honest as we went back about 1 1/2 hours later. That was our fun little trip to Jackson Hole!

LETS Go FLY A KITE

The kids have spent a couple of days flying kites. Since there's been a lot of wind here this is a perfect past time! Here all three of them are up in the air.

And one last picture. I went to open the superglue and it exploded all over my fingers. I didn't get it off fast enough and this is the result. I finally got it unstuck by washing under water and using nailpolish remover.

TRAMPOLINE TRICKS

We enjoy having a tramp to play around on. Here is Alex's side flip.
Brigham walking on his hands.
Brigham doing a back flip. He actually did it in this one, but he scraped his nose. I couldn't get him to do it again after that so this is the best picture I could get of this.

Alex's front flip.
Lizzie's flip.
Mark's back flip.

And me, well I can do a somersault, but it leaves much to be desired, so I'll pass on posting that.

One night I made crepes for dinner. It was a French dish with ham sour cream and cheese. Well we had lots of crepes left over so the kids and I had them for breakfast the next morning.
We have taught the kids how to get the flies or whatever bug is in the house. Lizzie saw flies on the window and went to get some TP to kill them with. How could I say no to letting her get them. I lifted her into the sink. It was pretty funny to watch her try to get them. I eventually had to do it for her.
Here is Brigham with my bracelet that I got for my birthday. He busted one of the strings, but he looked like some warrior wearing it.
Someone gave the kids some dipsticks. Fabulous and fun. Here they are enjoying them.

Lissie
This is at the middle school next to Nikkis. Monkeymen! Alex climbed up the pole with his bear feet.

Here are the outlaws getting ready to prepare the rocket for takeoff.
All the kids got a chance to do liftoff. Here is Lizzie with Chris's help. I wasn't able to get all the kids doing, it. It was fun
Here we are just chillin in the kitchen.
Aunt Betsty playing with the kids.
We had fun. Thanks for letting us come down and hang. And by the way, I definately didn't think I'd beat you all to posting the picture, but I DID!!! :o)

Our little friends.

On Saturday when I was working in the kitchen, I heard this bang on the window in the front. I knew the kids were with Mark in the backyard, but I double checked anyway. I then looked and saw these 2 big wet spots on our window. Here's one of them.
Here's the other one. I looked outside to see who was there, but found noone. I opened the door and looked down the street. Nothing. Weird. Then I heard this quack quack and two ducks came waddeling out from the bushes next to the stairs. Two ducks had flown into our window. Below are the pictures of the duck. They are actually in the yard across the street, because I wasn't able to get a picture of them fast enough in our yard.

Here is our other friend ABE. He loves to eat the seeds from the trees in our yard. We have seen him quite a bit. The boys love having a squirrel, didn't really see these in Utah. We named him. He even was caught peeking into our house a few days ago. I tried to get a picture, but he was scared off too easy. There was also a bird jumping around on the tramp, but too slow to catch him. We also have this bird that is gorgeous. He is brown with a bright orange tummy. We also have many a robins who love our yard.
This is the only picture I was able to capture of the kids this past week. Brigham put his head through the tramp. Crazy duck. Our little jokester.
Lissie has been dry for 4 days straight. 3 More days in a row and she is what we call officially potty trained. (our requirement is that they need to be dry 7 days and nights in a row). When that happens we get a little toy of choice, within reason of course. She is doing well. She did nights pretty much on her own, because I told her if she wet her bed she couldn't wear her cool underwear for a while. She likes the pink best. She wanted to wear those underwear.
Alex also informed me he wanted to read. I don't think he knows all the letters, though he is pretty close, so since he takes a shorter nap then the other two, we are going to take that time to practice reading. So far we have done one day and he has memorized two books. We'll see how it goes. It was fun to see how much he got into it. He even taught Brigham one of the books.
Brigham is doing well. He loves being Superman and Spiderman. He is busy and full of energy. He seems to get how to do things pretty fast and is fearless. He just loves to do lots of different things. He is starting to want to sing in primary and focusses more. (He's the youngest in there, I believe). His favorite song is "Give said the Little Stream."
Its fun for me to watch these kiddies grow. I can't believe how fast time flies.

Memorial Day Weekend.

This past weekend was really fun. We had all of Mark's family come up and visit us. This is a picture of what Brigham got in his primary class. The lesson was on, I am thankful for my ears. What a clever teacher, eh?
This is on a ride to the Teton Dam. It actually broke when they were making it.
This is racing Lissie at the Dam.
Mark's family loves to do contests to see how tough they are! This was to see how many Wasabi nuts they could fit in their mouth.

At the dam the boys were just climbing on everything. The fence is there because there is a huge drop off right after it.
This is Lissie actually happy to be with Dad.
This is looking downstream from the dam.
Walking along.
This is almost everyone in the picture, minus 5. There were a total of 21 people here. It was really fun. We mostly relaxed and the kids jumped on the trampoline a ton. Now we are winding down and getting back on our regular scheduel.
