I love these guys....

Saturday night I decided to do something I've never done with Lissies hair. In the old day to curl their hair they would use rags and tie them. Since we don't have a small curling iron or curlers we decided to give it a try. I told her she would look like a princess and she sat for about 30 minutes while I did this to her hair. This is quite a challenge for Lissie to sit still for that long, but she did it (maybe cause I told her she'd look like a princess).

This si the final result. This is how it Looked after church. I thought the curls were a bit too tight, but Mark kept saying he thought it was really neat.

Here are the boys. I had to take picture of all three boys in their matching shirts before Taylor grew out of them. They looked so handsome and matching.

Also, tonight we had the missionaries over. You have to have the meal ready when they get here. (about 5:15). I'm lucky if I have the meal ready by 5:30. Anyways about 3:30 I started on the meal. Mark and I had planned what we were going to make. We are also a little short on main ingredients because it is the end of the week. We usually do shopping friday or saturday. As I started making supper I noticed we ran out of corn starch. Okay, I'll us flour. I don't have enough sugar, maybe I'll just half the recipe. I need to make bread, oops not enough flour because I already made a pie crust. So at about 3:45 I load up all the kids in the car and head off to the store. I emphasized how much of a hurry we were in and the kids needed to be good and stay in the cart. They were amazing. We got home by 4:15 .I asked them to help me when we got home as well. THey did just that. I had the laundry that had been folded, but not put away. So I had them help me hide it on my bed. I made the bread, and the potato soup (we didn't have enough potatoes either, had to get those) and Alex grated cheese, Brigham cut up the banana and set the table and they helped take care of Taylor (as did Lissie) and so forth. Alex stirred the pie filling on the stove, perfectly. We got the banana cream pie, bread and potato soup done by about 5:20 and Mark showed up with the missionaries about 5-7 mins later. Just enough time to hide a few odds and ends and feed Taylor. It was great. We were blessed, and had a good time having the missionaries for supper.

Happy Birthday Mother!

Yesterday was my mother's birthday. We celebrated in true LaPierre fashion (at least my parents) with a pie. THis one was pumpkin. We then put in 3 candles for each of the kids to blow out. We hope that it was a great day for you, and wish we could've shared this pie with you! We love you (note Lissie's eyes are blue and half her face because the boys thought it would be fun to put makeup on her yesterday and they did the whole face! It was rather interesting)

I had to post this pic, too. I went in to check on Taylor before I hopped into bed and this is what I found. Taylor holding his bears hand. How cute, I thought.

Witch's on Broomsticks.....

We had a wonderful Halloween. Nothing too exciting about it, but the norm. Here is Taylor as a pea pod. We had him in thes for the evening.

Lissie is a withc. She chose out all the material, so this is what she liked. Pink, surprised? The boys are bats. The had bat hats and wings and then dressed in dark clothes. They put on seaters, I guess they matched the top. They wanted their faces black. What would halloween be without makeup:?

1)Katy and Betsy surprised us and came and visited. Here is Katy with Taylor. I was lame and didn't take very many pictures. Okay I took 2.

and 3) I went shopping on Saturday. When I came home Mark told me I had to go see Brigham. So I did. He and Alex were so excited. First this is what I saw...

Yikes!!! Brigham lost his top tooth. I was trying not to freak out and asked what happened. He was climbing the tree and slipped and hit his tooh, obviously, and knocked it out. They then said, Mom we thought you were going to be exciteed. I said, yeah, I'm excited. YIkes Yikes Yikes. I then said oh the tooth fairy will come. WE couldn't find the tooth anywhere. Crazy.

The next morning he woke up and the first thing he did was see if the toothfairy came. We forgot,oops. So as he ate breakfast, I searched the house for change and Mark checked out the situation. Brigham checked again and they were under his scriptures. Maybe the toothfairy wanted to remind you to pay your tithing on it? Or maybe put it in a different place since it was harder to find the tooth? It was crazy. He was excited. He now analyzes how it is to eat everything with it.

So those are our AAAAHS for the last week!

Okay I saved this picture and flipped this, but I don't know why it keeps doing this. This is Taylor. I put him down and he stayed asleep like this. How funny. He's getting so big. We took him to his 4 month.

Makeover???

After many weeks of not posting, I finally have broken the silence. (I actually have some pictures to post). The weather is getting colder and colder :(, and the kids are getting bigger and bigger. Taylor can now fit into some 6-9mo clothing. Maybe its just the fact that I like the clothes to look a little baggier and not fitting.... Pics later, I'm sure. Lissie had a friend over the other day. Lissie came out of her bedroom looking like this. Clara had put some makeup on her. It was cute so I took a picture of them. Also notice Lissies hair...
Sunday we went on a walk. It was a bit cold so I told Lissie she had to get a sweater and some shoes. She also got some socks. Gotta love it! Also notice the hair...

Did you notice? We cut a 2-3inches off her hair. She didn't like it being combed and she wanted it cut. So I cut it just above her shoulders. Its cute, and we can still do lots of fun things to it.

A fun filled weekend

This weekend started out with driving to Mark's family's house. We got there a little earlier than we'd planned and his parents were out at a dinner. On the way down Brigham stated- Mom I feel really sad because our family is all over the place. This is after Alex had stated something about being excited all day to see his family. Brigs then stated that when we were at Island Park he was happy because so many of our family was there.

Saturday was didn't see much of Mark's dad as he was in meetings. His Dad got released as Stake President. It was nice to be there, and I could kind of picture what it was like when my dad was released a few months earlier as a counselor. It was a bit of a long day for the kids as we were in the chapel over 3 hours and then we made them stay in their Sunday clothes. (They weren't too happy about that). My brother blessed his little son, Travis, which we drove to see. That was really nice. We were sad not to see much of them, but had a lot of fun chatting with them before the blessing.

This is the only picture that I was able to get the whole weekend. Here is Lissie with the goggles as we drove to my bro's family's place. This is also the only nap the kids got. Well the kids were tired, so I didn't take the goggles off for the blessing, to limit the amount of chaos.
It was really nice. Then we headed back to dinner with Mark's fam for a quick bite to eat before heading back home. It was nice to be there with everyone, and missed those we weren't able to see. Taylor did finally reach the point where the only people who could help him were Mark and I, though everyone was great to help out and offer to help. We're glad we could be there for these 2 special occassions. Thanks to all for accomodating us!
