Teresa, the 4th of July, and a few odds and ends

We had Mark's cousin over a couple of weeks ago. It was a blast. She was going to school close to us. We had a blast having her over and just talking. The kids loved having her here too, and told her everything they could think of . It was fun. We only wish we could have had her over more, but she has now graduated. (congrats to her).
This is Alex holding Taylor. He is the ultimate big brother and helper. I had him hold Taylor while I was getting supper done and it was awfully quiet for a while. I came back and this is what I found, both of them alseep. (Alex had been running thru the sprinkler, hence the lack of a shirt).

This is Taylor giving a thumbs up the day Payton was born, and the day after we found out about Travis (a few days after he was born). HE's pretty excited to have 2 boy cousins to run around with when this side gets together.
The fourth of July, Mark's parents really wanted us to come down. Taylor was only a couple weeks old, but after some influence from them, we decided to come down. I only took pictures of this part of the day, unfortunately. We had a breakfast in the canyons with mark's family and then went swimming and the a bbq and fireworks done by the family. It was fun. What made it funner is that we also got to see a couple of my sibblings a couple of times. IT was a blast. I think the swimming was the kids favorite part. I'll post a couple of the pictures.

Her's Alex. He also had fins on at one point. Mark's uncle's friend invited the family over to do this. He had little lifejacket suits for all the kids. Thanks goodness because my kids just like to jump in. SCARY.
Here's Brigham jumping in with Aunt Cynthia. Lots of great family helped make it fun for the kids, since I couldn't swim.
Oh this was suppose to be last. This is something the boys have discovered to prepare for the next day. I think its pretty funny.

THen this is me chilling with my brother on the sidelines. The pictures of me were hideous, but I thought it was cute to see Taylor laying down, wiht my bro in the background.

We still have lots to post, so stay tuned. I haven't been very good at posting things, since I've been a little busy. I only got my cute nephews' births because I'm was so excited, but I have some other great things. Hopefully I'll get them up soon. Camping and a very fun visit with my sister and her husband, my brother getting engaged, but until next time.....

Another Welcome!

We had another cousin born this week. My sister had her little boy this morning at 5:36 am. He is 3lb 4oz and 16 inches. Yes he is small because he was born two months early (30 weeks gestation). They had to fly him to a more specialized NICU. They think they'll be naming him Payton Rodney. (I think its a very cute name). Welcome to our family and we're pulling for you little guy.

Welcome and Congratulations!

We just wanted to post that we have a new cousin! (well the kids do). His name is Travis Brigham and he was 7lbs 15.6 oz and 20.5 inches. He was born on Thursday, June 10th! We are just so excited we had to post this. Congrats also to Lisa Bryce and Sophie. He is cute! I'm sure if you go to their blog in a few days, you'll be able to see some great pictures of this little guy with Sophie. It'll be so fun to have a little cousin for Taylor to play with on this side.

Happenings

Alex's last Tball game was little less than a week ago. This is him up at bat. He wacked that T.

playing shortstop. We told him to watch the ball, so he got in this pose and put his glove out. One of his friends that was on the team was playing pitcher and she started to copy him.
They all got medals. Here's Alex with his uniform and medal at home.

Brigham and Lissie were wrestling one morning while I was in the shower. I found blood all over the back of Brigham's head. He knocked his head into the fireplace. I called up Mark and told him to come home and then we went to Instacare. The result....2 staples in the back of his head. Here they are. (He calls them maples).
He was bleeding a little bit so I put this on the back of his head so while he slept he didn't get it everywhere. This is the next morning before I combed his hair.
This is Taylor yesterday. He's a tan little guy!
Lissie has discovered many things she can do by herself in the last month. She can finally open the fridge, climb up on the tramp, open the more difficult doors, so forth and so forth. She also discovered she can climb the tree. Well she can't get down though, or at least she couldn't. She can do it a little better now. When Mark's mom was here, I couldn't climb and Mark was gone. Lissie was helped by Alex to get up and then Mark's mom had to help her down. Here is the picture of the both of them. Alex is also in there trying to help her get down as well. How funny to see my mother in law climb a tree. I'm glad she was here, because I was definately not up to climbing a tree.

Sorry for all those who have been waiting, I finally had a moment that I could get some pictures up. For those who didn't know yet, this is Taylor Martin. He was born at 13:01 Sat th 14th. He was 8lb6oz. He is a little swollen in this picture, but he does have Grandpa's chin! (the one he's named after).
These are the proud parents, I thought I'd be brave and put a couple of me in ;). This is a little after he was born and they were done cleaning up.
Here he is the day after with Daddy.
This is yesterday, taking a nap.
They gave us a stork dinner to celebrate the birth, lots of pretty good food.

These are the brothers all together. Finally. The kids are so excited to have a baby brother. They all exclaimed as they came from the nursery to hold him, he is so cute!!
THis is Lissie taking a turn being a big sister! She doesn't seem so little anymore.
The kids are reading to him. He has a little jaundice so the glowing is the special blankets they have for him to help. I don't think he have a lack of love or attention. The blankets do put a damper on holding him, though.
We call him our little glow worm!

So there you have our new little addition. It's fun to have a little baby around.

Alex ventures with Tball

This is Alex's first T-ball game. He played catcher at one point. It was his favorite position of all that he has played.

They didn't have their shirts the first game, but they did get them and here it is. This is after the 2nd game. They get some sweet treats after their game. Thier team name is the Blue Dragons.
I don't know if you'll be able to see this or not. But these yellow birds with red heads and black on their wings have migrated here this year. There are sometimes 10 or so on our lawn and our neighbors. Their really pretty. We also saw a couple birds that have orange bellies and a deep royal blue on their backs with a little black.

Some things going on.

So Mark was waiting for a meeting the a week or so ago and decided he would climb the tree. As you can see below, Alex copied him. We had Mark's family here last Memorial Day weekend. Mark and Jon and Joseph climbed the tree again and made it to the top. We didn't do it with anyone else here, since these are the lighter of the boys. The other guys, I'm sure could do it, but our tree may not have looked as nice after.

Lissie playing on the tramp with Grandpa. And that's all we got for pictures. Yes we were lame in taking pictures. We did have a blast however. Most everyone came up Saturday (except Mark's parents the night before0. We went to Big Juds, where my brother in law ate the whole hamburger and 1/8th. We went to the cave, we played games, outside, had lots of good food and enjoyed lots of company, celebrated a birthday etc. Danny and Haley were the only ones unable to attend for obvious reasons. We were so glad everyone came to visit us and hang out with us. The kids enjoyed playing immensely with their cousins and I think the only times they were apart was when we were sleeping. Thanks for all who came.
The next adventure we have done over the last few weeks is the garden. We rented a rotatiller and made our plot. We then found out our neighbors had one and we used theirs, which was better, and finished the job.

We planted corn, radishes, beets, and lettuce.
Then watered.
Yesterday we went and got a bunch of starters to go in our garden. Alex and Brigham digging holes.
Lissie following suit.
Just like Dad. We are excited- we have lots of tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers and for the kids sake, tried one watermelon ;0). We are excited and hope to have some fruits from all of this.
